How can you tell if your hunger is from the neck up or the neck down.
Real Hunger grows gradually. You will eat anything. You can wait. You stop when you feel full. You feel good after eating. You feel energized.
Emotional Hunger hits suddenly. You crave a specific food (usually high in fat). You need to be satisfied instantly. No amount of food fills you. You feel guilty after eating. You feel heavier.
This weeks challenge is to make a list of 10 things you can do instead of eating when emotional eating strikes. Come with a list to share at next weeks meeting.
See you then!

My 10 - get on my laptop and check this blog, facebook and my emails; brush my teeth; organize the paperwork "toss pile" on my kitchen counter; paint my nails; read with my boys; love on and play with my pugs; play Wii with the boys (and be schooled by them); read through a magazine from the pile on my nightstand; go through my purse and clean out all the old receipts, gum wrappers, etc.; fold laundry; chew gum
Whew!
Fabulous ideas, certain to make you forget that you wanted to eat.
Thanks for sharing. Paula
