Week 15 Preview - One Step At A Time
This week we are going to use The Story boarding Tool to help you move more and accomplish other goals.
This week's topic also incorporates the 5K Promotions, sponsored by Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers is teaming up with the Active Network (active.com) to provide members with training and encouragement to get started and keep going all the way to 5 kilometers (3.1 miles).
Weight watchers is providing an 8 week training program booklet to walk a 5 k. If you register on Active.com, You will receive a free 8 week online walking or running training program with daily email training reminders and an online training calendar. ($19.95 value)
You will also receive 6 months subscription to Weight Watcher Magazine and a sneaker charm suitable for adding to your 10 percent key ring upon completion of the 5k.
I also want to be your local resource to make regular activity and other healthy behaviors a priority by setting weekly goals.
As your Weight Watcher Leader I cannot endorse a particular fitness organization, but as a Weight Watcher Member I participate in exercise routines at Butterfly Life. If any ladies are interested in what they have to offer please ask me.
I would like to extend an invitation from the co-owner of the Sunnyland Butterfly Life Location(couple doors down from Trader Joe's), Karla, who has provided a punch card for any female Weight Watcher Members who are participating in the Spring Fever Challenge. Another upcoming opportunity to improve your fitness and raise awareness is the annual Relay For Life. This 24 hour relay is held the second weekend of July here in downtown Bellingham. Weight Watchers is teaming up with Sunnyland Butterfly Life. By joining forces, we will have a larger presence at the relay. For interested participants Butterfly is extending a similar offer of 8 weeks for $59.00 (no contract, no joining fee) for any female weight watcher members that would like assistance in training for the relay.
Please contact Karla (360-671-0669) to sign up for the relay and schedule your relay position. We always appreciate those that like to relay throughout the night. :) Butterfly will have a 5th wheel trailer on site, that will provide you with a place to rest and represent our team. It won't just be a tent this year!! Hurray!


Also, Mr. Hungry has arrived. We are selling large dolls for $6.00 and the smaller magnet size for $4.00. Perfect for the front of the refrigerator.

This week will will learn how to fit favorite springtime celebration foods into our Momentum Plan.
We are going to use - Planning Strategies. Including the tool Mental Rehearsing to help us prepare for these special events.
Events like Passover, Easter, Graduations, Weddings and Spring Break may make you feel like you are doomed for a setback if you do not develop some sort of skills and practice them.
Be prepared to come up with some traditional favorites. We'll figure some lower point values and come up with new ideas.

Week 12 Preview - Making Restaurant Food "Fit"
Eating outside of the home has become part of our lives more and more.
The typical adult now averages 5.8 restaurant occasions in a week!
The tendency to use every eating out occasion as a reason to "go off plan" seriously challenges long term weight management. Eating out doesn't have to mean a splurge every time or a loss of control, and can fit into a healthy lifestyle.
Learning to eat out on plan is a key skill for staying on track long term. You might think you don't eat out that often.
What are the reasons you eat away from home?
Some examples of "everyday occasions":
Lunch at work
Fast food restaurants
Business travel (including airports and convenience stores)
Too busy or too tired to cook so you go out or order in
At our meeting this week we will talk about the difference between "Everyday Occasions" and "Special Day Dining"
